AGENCY STRAY ANGEL

BEHIND THE MIND:

KRYSTINA CHRISTIANSEN

DIRECTOR

Krystina is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker drawn to bold, emotionally resonant stories. Over the last decade she’s had a hand in documentaries, narrative shorts, music videos, branded content, commercials, and more for global markets across China, India, South America, Europe, and the US.

In her work, she’s driven to tell visually compelling stories that explore the intricacies of the human experience—capturing moments that are real, raw, and relatable—while always leaving room for humor and levity. She enjoys towing the line between deep storytelling and not taking it too seriously, balancing emotion with a playful touch. Whether it be cinematic ads or branded content, her style focuses on authenticity with a wink, creating content that resonates but never feels heavy-handed.

Career highlight? Teaching Terry Crews to play “Mary Had a Little Lamb” on the flute. Close behind is completing her first documentary feature executive produced by Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way, Eli Roth, and QC Entertainment exploring the environmental impacts of the death care industry.

“I’m obsessed with good stories that are well told. I’ve always been drawn to the nuances of human emotion and like figuring out ways of tethering it to an optimistic nihilist perspective. Depth with a hint of irreverence is my favorite creative balancing act.”
